You can now invite the entire team to install the suitable extension for their browser in just three clicks. Magic, right? 🎩✨

Simply head to your browser extension settings, select the users you want to invite, then hit the “Send invite” button. Voila!

But wait, there's more in store.

We've thrown in a few extra perks in this update to make your browser extension deployment a breeze:

  • Keep tabs on the percentage of employees who've activated the extension with a real-time counter. No guesswork, just facts!
  • Want to know if a particular employee has linked their extension, gone inactive, or has yet to install? Now, you can do that in a jiffy.
  • Personalize your invite email with a note, so your teammates know who's inviting them, why, and what it's all about. No more mistaken identity crisis.

Exciting expansion news! We're all about making LicenceOne work for 100% of your applications, which means we need to cover 100% of the browser market. We're thrilled to let you know that our browser extension now supports Firefox! 🚀

This is a big step in the right direction, boosting our market coverage to about 86% of the global desktop browser market.

Oh, and don't worry - Safari is on our radar! Stay tuned for more updates coming your way. 😉

Custom, and multiple, application tags 🏷️

You asked, and we listened! One of our most highly requested features is now live for all LicenceOne users.

You can now tag applications with multiple categories, custom labels, or really, anything that aligns with your business needs. To start tagging, simply navigate to the application of interest and click on the 'tags' section located on the left-hand side of your screen. Happy tagging!

Other improvements

  • Major overhaul alert! We've completely revamped the Data Sources section in LicenceOne. Now, it's not just simpler to see which data sources you've already synced, but you can also easily identify new data sources that could be added. Plus, we'll show you the extra insights you'll gain by bringing them into the mix.
  • Tweaked the Reassign transactions feature: now when you reassign transactions to an application previously marked as Free, LicenceOne will automatically update its payment status type field to Paid.
  • To align with our new application status system, we've disabled the Application status filter on the applications page by default, minimizing any potential confusion.
  • Resolved an issue where users couldn't delete a manager using the backspace key. That's now fixed for a smoother experience.
  • Fixed a glitch where new subscribers couldn't gain immediate access to their accounts. Immediate access is now restored.
  • Clarified one of our notification emails: if a bank unsynchronizes, the email will now explicitly mention the name of the affected banking institution.
  • Corrected an issue where applications identified as subscriptions without an engagement period were still showing up in the Renewals section.
  • Fixed an inaccurate display bug where "0/1 active users" was shown for an application. The count should now be accurate.
Application statuses

In today's update, we've revamped how you can label application statuses. Gone are the days of just Tracked and Untracked. Now, you can customize statuses to better suit your needs. Want a Must have status? Consider it done. How about an Unauthorized label? No problem.

Additionally, we've introduced a Newly detected application status. This will automatically be assigned to every new application that pops up in your workspace. Just use the filter in the application section to quickly see what's new and demands your attention.

  • Added support for virtual card solutions, such as Pleo, Soldo, and Airwallex
  • Added a count of Active users to the renewals list
  • Fixed a bug where some apps were being falsely detected as used by the browser extension

Great news! Adding an application to your LicenceOne workspace just got a whole lot easier. We've jazzed up our search algorithm to show you more relevant results—and faster! Ready to give it a whirl? Just click Add an application in the top-right corner of your applications section and see the improvement for yourself. 🚀

Other improvements & changes

  • A new snackbar notification will appear after you request a new validation email, keeping you informed
  • The ability to resend user invites has been added to the 'Users' section in Settings, for added convenience
  • Activity detection has been enhanced in the LicenceOne web extension to provide more accurate tracking
  • You'll experience faster dashboard load times upon first login, improving overall usability

Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where the Waiting for more data... text on an application's billing cycle didn't change after it, got...well, more information 🤦
  • Fixed a bug where the Chat with support button on billing areas didn't launch a new chat with a support agent
  • Resolved an issue where invited users were unable to accept their invites through a Google Workspace account. That's sorted now
  • Corrected a glitch that prevented administrators from sending invites from the employee page. No more hiccups there
  • Fixed the layering issue where snackbars were getting obscured by our referral program widget. Your notifications should be in clear view now
  • Addressed a UI inconsistency where both a chevron icon and an edit pencil icon appeared when hovering over the 'team' field on an application page. Now it's streamlined
  • Eliminated an error that incorrectly displayed an error message when cancelling the synchronization of a European bank account in LicenceOne. All clear on that front
  • Made security improvements to our servers
Improvements & Fixes
  • We've added a handy "Invited users" section to our onboarding process, so you can keep an eye on invitation statuses (Accepted or Invited)
  • Ever needed to resend an invitation? We've got you covered with a new "Resend invitation" button in the user onboarding section
  • We've updated the first page you see when you join a LicenceOne workspace, aiming for a smoother and more intuitive user experience
  • For those important email verification steps - whether you're signing up or activating our browser extension - we've worked on making those emails clearer and friendlier
  • We've also given our email verification messages a little touch-up for a clearer, friendlier experience (upon signup and when activating the browser extension)]
  • We've managed to speed up the initial load time of the LicenceOne app by 50% when you log in
  • We've also added a pinch of our secret magic to cut down on the number of false positives from the LicenceOne browser extension
  • In cases where a company image can't be found, we've updated the placeholder image that displays for an application

We've squashed a few bugs too

  • Fixed an issue where an application's billing cycle was permanently stuck on Waiting for more information....
  • Resolved an odd issue where some users saw the same application twice in their accounts
  • Sorted out a problem where some users were unable to load LicenceOne
  • Got on top of a pesky bug in the "Trial ended" pop-up where the Notify billing contact button didn't send a notification.
  • And last but not least, we've made sure the First name and Last name fields are pre-filled when you create an account via Google during the initial sign-up process

Quickbooks integration

LicenceOne can now automatically detect software spend from your supplier invoices and expenses, saving you time and eliminating errors. Gain insights, make data-driven decisions, and bolster your bottom line.

Note: to add accounting software, you must not have any other financial data source already synchronized (bank account or PayPal).

Other improvements and fixes

  • Added feature that allows the LicenceOne browser extension to track activity automatically from applications where you have a custom company sub-domain (e.g. www.licenceone.pipedrive.com)
  • Improved login activity tracking on the LicenceOne browser extension so that activity is only logged once a user visits the web app, and not the marketing website
  • Improved the application manager list on the application view so that employees are sorted alphabetically
  • Improved the wording of the auto-link extension settings to make it easier to understand for administrators
  • Fixed the formatting of a system message that appears in instances of a Google Workspace synchronization error
  • Fixed a bug where, when reassigning transactions from one application to another, the transactions still appeared in the first application for a few seconds
  • Fixed a bug in the renewals section where the Assigned manager selector was not interactive for some users
  • Fixed a bug where, after encountering an error synchronizing a French bank account, LicenceOne displayed the incorrect system error message
  • Fixed a dead link to an FAQ article when switching from demonstration data to real data

What's more, each person referred will also get 30% off their first 12 months subscription LicenceOne.

To get started, simply head to your LicenceOne workspace and share your unique signup link available on the bottom-left of the interface.

  • Added the ability for users to define a custom Useful life for each application via the Advanced tab on the application view
  • Added a calculation so that LicenceOne will pre-fill the First payment date field on the Assign first payment view

New account creation process

Today's update has the objective of helping each new user create and setup their LicenceOne account as quickly and effortlessly as possible.

Now, when switching to a live interface, new users will fall into a flow where we help them set up each step of their accounts to get them started as quickly as possible.

Oh, and what's more, we've also optimized the onboarding process for users that install the LicenceOne browser extension for the first time.

Sellsy accounting integration

Now you can use the power of LicenceOne to search through your receipts and supplier invoices stored in Sellsy.

Simply head to the Data sources section of your interface, and click the Add a data source button on the top-right. Once linked, LicenceOne will begin searching for all the different spend you've logged in your Sellsy account and update your LicenceOne interface each morning.

Please note: LicenceOne only permits one type of financial data source (bank account or accounting software) to be actively monitored at once. To add Sellsy to your account, you must not have any other bank accounts or accounting software actively monitored by LicenceOne.


New & improved

  • Improved the LicenceOne browser extension so that the first entry in extension is always the last business app you visited, even if you already visited that app in the same day
  • Improved the page that new subscribers arrive on after successfully activating their LicenceOne subscription

Fixed & removed

  • Removed the Feedback section of the settings menu
  • Fixed an error where untracked applications appeared in the browser extension Recently mapped section
  • Fixed an error that occurred when reassigning applications to a new manager (as part of a new offboarding process)
  • Fixed an error where when deleting an employee, the updated interface wasn't displayed nor did it confirm that the action was successful
New Slack notifications

With LicenceOne's Slack integration users will now receive alerts each time we detect a new paid application that doesn't have a manager assigned.

What's more, once a manager has been assigned to a new paid application, LicenceOne will also send them a DM in Slack requesting them to add extra information (like the renewal date, assigned team, billing cycle and so on).

  • Fixed a bug where, when assigning a manager to an application, the Active users cell temporarily displayed a null value
  • Fixed a bug where if a user's custom logo went offline, LicenceOne displayed our old logo
  • Fixed an error where, after completing the last task in an offboarding process, an alert bubble still showed on the Tasks section of the menu
  • Removed the "Confirm switch to sandbox" modal that appears after clicking on "Switch to real data"

The renewals section has been reworked this week with multiple quality of life improvements

  • Improved renewal timeline by removing all free applications

  • Improved the design of an alert to help users understand that they have renewal dates to update

  • Added notification bubble to the renewals section when there are paid applications that renew automatically without a renewal date defined

  • Improved the renewal section to display the cost and billing cycle, so you know which renewals should take priority

  • Changed the Spend last billing cycle column on the applications page to become Spend last 12 months

  • Fixed an error where, when deleting transactions from an application, the page did not automatically refresh and gave the impression that we didn't take any action

  • Removed invoice collection settings and automatic task creation. We'll consider adding them back at a later date

  • Removed Google SSO as a login activity data source. Now we'll only synchronize employees from there, but all activity data will come from our web extension

Amortize your app spend

Now you can spread the cost of your yearly spend over a period of 12 months, rather than accounting 100% of it in the month you paid for it.

Simply head to Amortization Settings in your account to set up how long we should spread your payments (based on the billing cycle), then choose what view you'd like to see with the filter on all spend graphs.

Now you'll receive a notification from the LicenceOne Slackbot each time a new employee is detected. What's more, directly from Slack, you'll be able to:

  • Assign a team to the employee
  • Untrack them
  • Open their LicenceOne employee profile in a new window
